A guided appreciation and biodiversity tour of Heywood Park, Unley as part of 2020 Nature Festival.

City of Unley joins 2020 Nature Festival!

Come and enjoy a guided tour of the biodiversity, wildlife, trees, technology and history that makes Heywood great. 

Tour Guides include James Smith, FauNature and City of Unley staff.

Date: Tuesday 29 September 2020 

Session Times: 9:00 am /OR/ 11:00 am 

Duration: 1 - 1.5 hour sessions, with time for questions 

Bookings: Essential, via Eventbrite. Numbers are limited. 

Cost: Free

This is a COVID-19 Safe Event. 

The safety and wellbeing of our visitors and staff remains our highest priority. In preparation to welcoming you to our tour, we are implementing COVID-19 compliant protocols to offer an enjoyable experience for all participants, while minimising the risk of COVID-19.

Participants must not attend if they are unwell and/or exhibit any COVID-19 symptoms.

Group sizes have been kept small to ensure physical distancing can be adhered to while not impacting on the quality of the experience.

Participants and staff must practice good hygiene. Hand sanitiser will be provided at the event.

Participants and staff must practice physical distancing of 1.5 m. 

Numbers are limited and registrations are essential. 

A Contact Tracing Record will be maintained. 


Behind the Leaves at Heywood Park is part of the 2020 Nature Festival.

The Amongst It, 2020 Nature Festival is a ten-day program of activities and experiences dedicated to celebrating South Australian nature in positive, creative and meaningful ways. 

The Festival is between the 25 September and 4 October 2020 across South Australia and features a diverse program of free and ticked activities provided by local artists, environmental organisations, nature connection practitioners and more.
