If you're curious about how we can get ready for changes in our climate as a community, you can join our group of Climate Ready Champions.
The Climate Ready Communities training will help you understand how the things we love may be affected by our
changing climate, and explore what we can do to take action!
The training will include:
• Interactive activities and discussions about being climate ready.
• Local information about climate change projections for southern Adelaide.
• Guest speakers including members from local community groups, businesses, and/or council.
• Practical guidance to deliver activities, and talk about climate readiness, in your community.
After the training, it is expected that you will help spread the climate ready message to your networks and community. We will explore how to engage and support others during the training.
If you have any questions or queries, please feel free to contact Dani Austin, Community Adaptation Project Officer at daustin@redcross.org.au or via 0415 695 836.
How do I get there?
The Minor Works building is close to the City South Tram stop, accessible from Sturt Street. Stamford Court is also accessible from Wright Street. Bike parking facilities are located close by. This venue does not have parking. There are parking options nearby in the city however we strongly encourage the use of public and active forms of transport to this event.
This project is supported by the Resilient East - A partnership between the City of Adelaide, City of Burnside, Campbelltown City Council, City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters, City of Prospect, City of Tea Tree Gully, City of Unley, Town of Walkerville and the South Australian Government. The training is currently open to those who work, live, or are involved in these areas.
